My family has buried a number of people throughout the years and this was absolutely, by far, the worst experience we have ever had. Not to mention that the individuals creating this horrible experience for us were part OWNERS. I can understand when employees are rude or disrespectful because they could care less about the company, but when it's actually YOUR business, you'd think you would try to create a better name and reputation for yourselves. The 'sons' were assisting us with our open casket service last night and I'm not sure if they were both having an off day but frankly, I don't care. There is no excuse for treating people the way we were treated last night, especially when you are running a FUNERAL HOME. If you are not at least a half-decent human being, you probably should choose a different career path. From the moment we walked in, it was nothing but attitude from these guys. At one point, when my mother asked one of them a question, he didn't even turn to look at her the entire time. He replied with a cold, "yeah" facing the OTHER direction. Not only is that unprofessional and impolite, but flat out disrespectful. They supplied ONE tissue box for the entire funeral home, which we ran through in about an hour because I don't think it was even full when we arrived, and then, when we asked for more because the HUNDREDS of people attending were all sobbing, they gave them to us one at a time. When we finally spoke up and asked for a few boxes, we got attitude, yet AGAIN. This kind of treatment is unacceptable at any kind of business, but especially at a funeral home, where people are grieving and probably falling apart, you have to be a very cold-hearted person to be as rude as you are under the circumstances. I sincerely hope I can save at least one mourning family from the Hell that these people put us through.
